Good Bye February, Hello March!

February is officially over! I almost didn't noticed it.  Perhaps, because I'm so busy this month.  A lot of things has been taking up my time lately.  As you know, I'm working full time here in Cambodia and apart from that I am managing several blogs,  doing some online tasks,  checking on my kids at home, managing our "for lease house" ....  mind you, I have a demanding tenant now compared to before.  She wants everything in the house properly fixed and in good condition.  I just recently had the screen door in the living room repaired as well as replaced the door frame.  I'm looking at having the ceiling painted too.  Anyway, I'm more determined to be mindful about the maintenance of that house now after my bad experience with the last tenant.  I also have another project on the way.....will announce it later. :)  Cheers to that!
February has been a busy month for me thus, I am looking forward to have a good rest during my forthcoming vacation.  I hope …

Attending Sunday Mass

One of the many things that I truly missed being away from home is attending Sunday mass with the whole family.  They say that "A family that prays together, stay together" and I believe so.  I remembered before that we would always go to church on Sundays and will either have lunch or dinner at a restaurant of our choice and see a  movie if we find a good movie to watch that day.  It's  good bonding time for the whole family.
We used to attend on a church located inside the free port zone and this is a small chapel with lots of church seating outside the church building to accommodate more church goers.  The ambiance is nice though as this is situated in a garden setting with all those beautiful landscape.  Now that I will be home again, I hope that I could go to church more often which I cannot do here as I am staying in a predominantly Buddhist country.
I'm really looking forward to that!

Graduation Gift Idea

It's going to be graduation month this March and most of you might have sons, daughters, friends, nieces, nephews that would be graduating soon. I just thought of sharing this idea that I saw online. This is a cute and fun way to send those lovely graduation greetings to the "graduates".
You can buy some chocolate candy bars at your favorite candy shops and use a personalized chocolate bar wrapper with your personal message to the graduates.  I think the "extra time" put in to come up with this unique gift will be much appreciated.

Yoga Lessons

I have started scouting for some yoga lessons online and my readings had brought me to a lot of things.  I am new to yoga and had a zero knowledge on how it is being done or conducted, but I've heard a lot of good things about yoga and some of my friends could even attest to the effectiveness of this light form of exercise as far as health and wellness is concerned.
Yoga gives us lessons on right diet, right posture, tight breathing, right relaxation and the most important thing which is positive thinking and meditation.   There are lots of things to learn about yoga and I would say that I am just on the beginning stage.  I am yet to master the basic yoga positions and exercise. During my readings though, I get more interested on how to relax.  For now, I've been looking for some yoga supplies that could help me have a smooth start.  I think I am even more determined to pursue my readings about yoga.  I need to get a handful information before I could really get the full benefi…

Plumbing Solutions From Rotorooter

Staying at home, you would soon realize that there are many common problems that can spring up from your kitchen, toilet and main water pipe system and attending to those problems can be very costly at times.  In my case, my number one problem in the kitchen is the slow draining sink.  Being the most used part of the kitchen, it is but natural that the strainer can collect a lot of dirt build up like hair, grease, and other food particles that were thrown carelessly. To get the drain flowing smoothly again, we have to unclog the drain pipe and have debris build up completely removed. For simple drain problems, we can use some handy tools like zip it or we can make use of the natural method of pouring some baking soda over the pop up, then follow up by pouring some vinegar.  This has proven to be effective for minor slow draining sink problems.  However, there are major plumbing problems that cannot be resolved within our means and for that, we maybe required to seek a professional hel…

Traditional Thai Massage

Every time I have the opportunity, I always go for a traditional Thai massage.  It's the best kind of massage I have ever experienced.  This is not an ordinary massage but employs a deep pressure and stretching techniques.  A session or two would surely take away years of back and leg pains.  You can actually choose between an oil massage and a traditional massage, the latter being the "dry version".
A lot had been said about the effectiveness of "thai massage" and I could attest to the fact that it's really soothing and relieving. The massage incorporates elements of mindfulness, deep stretching and rhythmic compression that will bring you to an ultimate healing experience.
Thai massage believed to facilitate and promotes a harmonious state of being. It's one great experience that you shouldn't miss.  Your Thai masseur understands the different pressure points of your body and applies a gentle thumb pressure while she prepares your body for various…

Emergency Evacuation Plan

Next month would be the Fire Prevention Month and at this time, most companies are busy conducting their briefings and orientations to the employees about emergency evacuation procedures and our company is just one of them.  As early as now, the assigned department is now busy in providing trainings to the different employees of various departments.  Part of the training is a briefing on step by step procedures in securing their respective areas during emergency situations as well as the general evacuation procedures.
One of the highlights of the orientation is being well versed with the safety signs used on various parts of the company premises.  Examples of which are fire exit door signs and fire safety signs.  One of the basic thing that every employee should know is to familiarize themselves on the facilities of the company, know the fire exit doors and the location of the fire extinguishers.  Being able to read the safety signs is a general requirement and is a must for every em…

Message In A Stone

                                                 source :
When I saw this photo online, I suddenly remembered the movie of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. I can't clearly recall, but if I am not mistaken, the title of that movie is "Miss You Like Crazy". Actually, I wasn't able to watch it on a big screen, I was just able to watch it through a DVD. In that movie, Bea was using stones to write down her messages to herself and to the world.  I find it cute! :)
Now, looking at this photo, I realized that there are so many ways to treat these stones with the inscripted messages. From the movie, Bea used to leave the stones in public places after having written down her messages on it, but I was thinking that these stones could also be nice and attractive decorative pieces in your garden, in your living room or even in your kitchen. You can stick it to one part of the wall in your pocket garden, or you can make a lovely cent…

Things To Look For In A Hair Salon

It's February! Most schools are now getting busy preparing for their JS prom Night.  As expected, shops selling gowns and party dresses are now busy preparing for the bulk orders and rental bookings of their cocktail dresses and gowns.  Every teen aged girl on their Junior and Senior years in high school  is looking forward for this big event and why not? This only happens once or twice in their lives. But in as much as preparing their outfits for the big day is a great concern, another thing that they are focused with, is finding a good and reputable salon who will do their hair and make up for the big night!  As early as two weeks before, these young girls are already going for hair treatments to condition their hair prior to the event.  But speaking of hair salon, how do we know that we are going to the right salon?
If the reputation of the hair salon is your concern, I bet it's mine, too. We have to go for hair salons having a good reputation in the hair business like hair …

Computer Corner

Now that I'll be home again next month, I would be doing some usual checks on every bedroom in the house just to see that everything is in place and properly organized. I just remembered that my son's room is lacking some kind of organization in his study corner where his study table and computer set are located. Since his study table is not that big, I guess he needs to have some mounts and stands for his computer, printer and other computer peripherals and accessories. I've tried to get some ideas and inspiration from where lots of designs are featured. Honestly, I've never thought of those great possibilities to add space to your desk space by installing some stands and mounts to the computer monitor or even for your laptop. I'm also keen of getting a laptop stand for my own use, too.
We'll see!
