Tips To Staying Young And Healthy

I'm pretty sure that most of us wanted to stay young and healthy! We are in constant struggle to bring that pleasant and youthful look. Most of us would would take regular trips to salons to have our hair, nails and face done. Some even to the extent of going to cosmetic surgery clinics. We buy beauty and skin care products to take care of our looks and it's totally alright. Taking care of ourselves is a must! Feeling good and looking great increases our self confidence. It adds zest to the performance of our daily activities. When we feel good and look great, we have the mood to do things, we are inspired to continue with what we are doing and we always have that energy to keep us "on the go". How to achieve this state of feeling young and healthy requires discipline and inspiration. While we are conscious about our external appearance, we should also be wary of our health and feelings. When we speak of personality, it comes in a package. It doesn't only pertains to good looks, but a healthy physique, a happy feeling, well rounded mind and a proper disposition. Apart from simply being vain , we also have to eat the right kinds of foods, engage in a physical activity that would boost our energy, get enough sleep and get away from unhealthy lifestyle, the following are additional tips that I got from a friend from way way back that we can do on a daily basis. I want to share these with you:

Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them.

Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.
Never let the brain get idle.

Enjoy the simple things.

Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and Lots of time with HIM/HER.

The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with you your entire life, is yourself. LIVE while you are alive.

Surround yourself with what you love whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.

Cherish your health. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

We all wanted to look good....feel healthy and happy and I guess there's no better time than to start now.

Have a great day!

  1. This post affirmed that I shouldn't feel guilty if I do pamper myself, haha! Most times, we get our hands full forgetting the fact that it's our physical body that keeps us going. We can't just set aside our health because it's our wealth, 'ika nga. I must admit that I am getting vain of late. Parang naging tulad na ata ako ng nanay ko, hahaha! Is that a clear sign of aging? LOL!

Tama ka Krizz. A personality must come in one full package. Di lang yong physical, outward appearance yan. What's inside is most essentially important- our outlooks and dispositions in life. Like they say, if you feel good, you look good. Itapon na ang mga negative vibes :-)

BTW, thanks so much for the heartwarming compliments at my blogs. Sobrang natuwa naman ko don. But oh! The Body! Hahahaha! Wala pang epekto ang pagpunta sa gym. Ngayon ko lang sineryoso yan, hehe. Sana nga mawala man lang ng konti ang mga hidden bulges and I want my muscles toned, hehe!

Thanks for this inspiring article once more, Krizz. You never fail to inspire me, your avid reader. Keep them coming.

    Love and Hugs,

  2. Hi Lainz! Well...I think you are on the right track. Judging from what I've read from your previous posts, I could see that you are doing what is necessary to stay young and healthy. Di masamang maging beauty and healh conscious. Kadamay kasi dyan ang ating total well being. If u look great, u feel great and if u feel great, you feel strong and healthy! Chain reaction yan eh. Keep it up Lainz, I mean your daily activities. You have an active lifestyle and it's awesome! I haven't noticed your bulges kung meron man. Hahaha! But the fact that you're into sports and going to gym is quite admirable.

My avid reader? Oh no....di ko yan carry! I will be pressured to write articles of "acceptable standard". Yayyy!! But the fact that a well known personality in the blogosphere reads my blogs daily made me feel truly special! Ang swerte ko naman!
