The Wonders Of Pomegranate Fruit
When I came here In Cambodia and travels back and forth to Vietnam, I discovered a lot of fruit varieties which were not familiar to me when I was still in the Philippines. I would admit, I only buy those fruits that I know like apple, orange, watermelon, papaya, cantaloupe, avocado, lanzones, banana, mangoes, grapes, etc. But never buy the rare ones which I hardly see from the fruits stands in the market. Obviously, I don't like to experiment. Fruits in the Philippines are quite pricey, so I don't want to waste the money in case I don't really like the fruit. Another thing, my two kids are also very choosy with the fruits especially my daughter who only eat few varieties.
One that I especially like is mangoosteen which I already posted last time. I like it's sweet taste and considered it one of the best tasting fruits I've ever had. As for the pomegranate, it was introduced to me by a colleague who explained to me that this is the best fruit so far that is responsible for having a great skin. She said, this is rich in anti oxidants which slows down the aging process of the skin. She testified that a mother of her friend really have a good skin and the former never takes any vitamins but only eats pomegranate fruit. I told her that I'm not familiar with this fruit and doesn't even know how it looks like. Then one day, she bought a kilo of pomegranate and let me tried it.
Actually this fruit is a bit difficult to eat coz it has a lot of seeds. You can't really get so much from it when you eat it except for the juice. But my colleague says that it's juice is packed with a lot of vitamins and a high level of anti oxidants. So, because I was intrigued with her story, I begin buying this fruit whenever I have the chance to see it on the nearby fruit stands. Later only that I discovered that apart from giving you a good and youthful skin, this fruit also is good in improving your blood flow thereby helping you to prevent heart diseases and is also good on clogged arteries. It also helps to regulate your blood pressure and is very low in calories.
Now, every time I see this fruit available on any fruit stand, I would always take time to buy even a kilo. I think it's better to get the nutrients from a raw fruit itself rather than taking different kinds of vitamins.
